BAGGY MONDAYS BACK IN BRUM!

Following our belting post-Glastonbury party at Subway City in July '11, we're heading back to Brum for another night at the home of the legendary Shoe Rave (just put your shoe in the air, and wave it like you just don't care!!!).

Join us for all the favourites from the Stone Roses, Charlatans, Happy Mondays, Flowered Up, Northside, The Real People, Top, The Farm, The Wendys, Inspiral Carpets, James, Mock Turtles, Paris Angels and so on and so forth...

Subway City's Friday night bash is Birmingham's best indie disco - it opens at 10pm and goes on until 4am.

Spread the word - and we'll see you there!

Baggy Mondays at The Social, 30 December 2011

BAGGY MONDAYS
30 DECEMBER 2011
THE SOCIAL, LONDON
6pm-1am

**The Eve of New Year's Eve Party**

Yes, following another triumphant year in The Park at Glastonbury, baggy is back at its spiritual home, The Social W1, for a night of the usual Madchester mayhem. Join us for all your baggy favourites from The Stone Roses, The Inspirals, The Charlatans, Happy Mondays, The Mock Turtles, The Farm, Candyflip, New Order, The Paris Angels and all that gubbins.

Avoid the pointless hassle and the expense of New Year's Eve by partying the night before (then staying in to watch the fireworks on telly the next night). We'll even be doing a countdown at midnight.

FREE ENTRY before 9pm, after which it'll be £5 to get in (The Social charges for all its weekend nights these days - so join us early if you'd rather not pay).

Because it's an Eve of New Year's Eve party, we'll be having some special stuff and giveaways and even the chance to put your name in the hat to do some baggy karaoke (so, Ian Brown, if you're looking for some practice…)

We'll hopefully see you down there.

Baggy Mondays - October 30th 2009

Twenty years on from the Stone Roses' Ally Pally show (give or take a few days) and ten years on from the day the Social opened its doors (give or take a few more), the legendary Baggy Mondays returns for a special Social birthday bonanza, featuring all your Madchester-flavoured faves from the Mondays, the Farm, the Mock Turtles, the Charlatans, 808 State, James, the Roses and much more. Where else can you party like its 1989, 1999 and 2009, all at the same time?!

New Year's Eve bash

UPDATE: Tickets for the Baggy NYE bash have now all sold out. Thanks to everyone who's bought one - we'll see you there. NB: Doors open at 8pm and Tim Burgess will be DJing from 9-11pm, so get there early!

We're very pleased to announce that, for the first time, Baggy Mondays, will be taking care of New Year's Eve business at the Social. Baggy Mondays is the Social's longest-running and most reliably bonkers night, playing all the Madchester classics from the Stone Roses to Northside, Happy Mondays to World Of Twist since 2002.

For the NYE bash, the night will be broadening its remit to include indie disco classics of all generations. Expect to hear everything from the Beatles and the Stones to the Killers and Kings Of Leon. We've also got The Charlatans' frontman Tim Burgess as our special guest DJ.

Meanwhile, upstairs in the bar, Social DJ favorites Mal ‘n’ Lou will be spinning tunes Heavenly and Social classics along with other party faves.

Plus, we've got lots of other NYE fun planned. We'll be handing our new year's resolutions (to save you the bother of thinking of one), running a special free raffle (everyone loves a raffle) and generally just setting you up nicely for 2009. Oh, and we've got big plans for the midnight moment...

We're pretty sure you won't many more fun ways to spend New Year's Eve.

Tickets cost £15, but the first 20 bought from http://www.wegottickets.com/f/491 will cost just a tenner.
